Our beautiful woodland site is open for school or uniformed group visits all year round and we offer an exciting programme of fun and educational activities. We also offer an outreach service where we come to your school grounds to deliver outdoor activities.
Each day is unique as we tailor the programme to suit your group and the time of year but some of our most popular activities include bush craft/survival skills, mini-beasts, dinosaurs and environmental art.

School trips: A full day (10 – 2pm) of activities is £275. This is for 2 members of staff (both Forest School level 3 trained, DBS checked and with Outdoor first aid qualifications) and includes all equipment and resources. We have forest school insurance and will provide risk assessments and a session plan once you have chosen your activities. We also provide refreshments (squash/water for the children and hot drinks for the staff). A half-day session is £175. This typically comprises a 2 hour session (e.g. 10 – 12). There are some lovely woodland walks and Brinscall play park and it is usually possible to use our facilities for lunch (shelter, compost toilet), if you wanted to extend your visit to the area.
Regular visits: True forest school sessions require regular visits to the same site. We’d recommend at least 6 weekly sessions. Booking a series of visits allows for more opportunities in learning and confidence building; familiarity with the site, staff, our equipment and ethos enable a gradual advance into more complex areas of Forest School learning. A pre-booked/paid half term of one day (10 – 2pm) a week is £210pw or for half a day is £145pw (10-12pm/12-2pm). A pre-booked/paid term of one day a week is £190pw or for a half day a week is £130pw.
Outreach: We are also available to visit your school to deliver on your site. A full day (10 – 2) of activities would be £395. A half day (2 hour session) is £295. These prices include a site visit to allow accurate completion of planning and risk assessment.
Uniformed groups: We offer a wide range of activities for scout or guide groups, with the most popular being our bush-craft/survival skills activities (den-building, fire-lighting, whittling, marshmallow toasting). A 2 hour visit is £6 per child with a 10% discount for uniformed groups. Our minimum charge is £90. These are available on week day evenings during the summer or at weekends with enough notice. Please get in touch to discuss your requirements. We always try to be as flexible as we can.
For every visit we provide a session plan, activity risk assessment and site risk assessment once we have finalised the booking. We are registered with LCC as an educational visit provider: LCC number EV0922.
The day was well-organised and perfectly structured from beginning to end; there wasn’t a minute where the children didn’t have something to be doing or ended up bored. The activities were pitched at the correct level for the children’s ability and age, whilst the expert knowledge of Liz and Bea was very beneficial to all of the children.
Organisation of the day was simple and efficient and I felt the whole experience was fantastic and at a very reasonable price too! I would strongly recommend Wildwood Days to anyone looking for a fun, yet educational activity or day to be done in the outdoors.

We came here with the Beaver section one evening for the outdoor experience. From the moment you set foot on site your made to feel welcome very friendly.
The kids loved the whole experience from den making, fire lighting to marshmallow cooking over the open fire. The way they have transformed the site is fantastic, it feels a safe place to have a group outing and they have everything you need. All-round great place to visit.
