Women’s wellbeing group ~ Sept/Oct
This is a weekly session for women, focusing on wellbeing in nature techniques. The group will be relaxed, informal and you can join in the activities and discussions as much or as little as you would like. Each session will focus on mindfulness with craft, or ID activities that increase your sense of connectedness with nature.
The sessions are weekly, each Thursday afternoon from 1 to 2:30pm on the 10th, 17th and 24th September and the 1st, 8th and 15th October. The sessions are designed as a 6 week block but you can join at any point and there is an option to pay-as-you-go if you prefer.
Our well-being groups are supported by the National Lottery community fund so we are able to offer 1 free place in each half term block – this is aimed at people who have never attended before who might struggle to afford it otherwise. We can also offer 4 subsidised (half price) places in each block. This is open to anyone, whether you are a regular attendee or have never come before. If you do take up one of these funded places please do try to attend every session – if you are unable to make it one week please let me know and I can offer the place to someone else for that session. Thank you
NB – all the subsidised and funded places have now been taken for this half term.
Nature connection has been shown to have a strong link to levels of mental well being and this course will give you techniques and activities you can do at home to help you de-stress and feel more relaxed and at one with your environment.
The hour and a half long workshops will be delivered by Liz Webley, an experienced forest school practitioner who has trained as a Naturewell Nature & Health facilitator. Each week we will guide you through a grounding practice to get you to be in the moment and notice your surroundings – and then move on to a craft or wellbeing activity that will increase your sense of connection to nature. There will be some time for discussion with a brew and a slice of cake and then an idea for a take home exercise. Over the 6 weeks we will try a range of activities as well as having plenty of time sat round the fire drinking tea and eating cake!
Only 12 spaces available. A few pay-as-you-go spaces are available if you are unable to commit to the entire block. I will assume you are booking for the following session unless you message me to say otherwise. Thank you
