John Muir Award holiday clubs 2025

Half term holiday club aimed at unaccompanied 8 – 12 year olds who like being outside! We provide drinks and snacks but you will need to bring a packed lunch. Please come dressed appropriately for the weather (wellies or walking boots plus long sleeves and waterproof clothes would probably be a good idea!). The days are almost always off site (exploring the woods and the moors around Brinscall) so your child will need to be able to manage their own toileting (be able to have a ‘wild wee’ independently). We do bring hand washing water and hand gel.

If you are now working towards your Conserver Award (20 days) please book on to as many days as you can but be aware that you will still have to complete a significant amount of hours in your own time.

In 2025 we are running John Muir holiday clubs on the 8th & 9th April and 27th & 28th May and the 29th & 30th July.  This is an environmental award scheme which involves discovering, exploring, conserving and finally sharing a wild space. Parents & friends will be invited to the final afternoon of the last day to be shown around the wild space we have chosen and celebrate the children’s achievements. Children who have completed enough hours and recorded their work in a record book will receive the appropriate John Muir Award certificate on completion of the 4 or 8 days. To book a four day block it’s £96 per child. One off days are £25 – these may be available nearer the time if any spaces are remaining. Please get in touch to discuss options if there are 1 or more days you might miss – we always try to be as flexible as we can.
