John Muir Award holiday clubs – 8 day Explorer: April – October

Half term holiday club aimed at unaccompanied 6 – 10 year olds who like being outside! We provide drinks and snacks but you will need to bring a packed lunch. Please come dressed appropriately for the weather (wellies or walking boots plus long sleeves and waterproof clothes would be a good idea!)

These are our John Muir Award series of holiday clubs. You can either book a 4 day block to complete the Discovery Award or you can complete all 8 days to achieve your Explorer Award (this is only open to children who have already achieved the Discovery award).

In 2020 we are running John Muir holiday clubs on the 8th & 9th April, 23rd & 24th July, 25th & 26th August and 29th and 30th October. This is an environmental award scheme which involves discovering, exploring, conserving and finally sharing a wild space. We are hoping to offer the option to have a sleepover on site during the July days. Parents & friends will be invited to the final afternoon of the last day to be shown around the wild space we have chosen and celebrate the children’s achievements. All the children will receive the appropriate John Muir Award certificate on completion of the 4 or 8 days. To book all four days it’s £85 per child and you must book either the April/July block or the Aug/Oct block. To book all eight days it’s £170. If you are not able to commit to all 8 days in 2020 it is possible to do 6 days this year and then complete the final two in 2021 but you must book onto one four day block and then get in touch with us to book onto the other 2. Alternatively you could pay for 8 days now and then carry forward 2 days of credit into 2021.
