Deathly Dark Woods Walk and Campfire Tales

​Researched and designed with the help of locals and archives, our Deathly Dark Woods Walk will take you on a night-time deadly tour of Brinscall woods, hall and ruins. Discover frightening events and horrifying deaths, as our guides lead you on a gruesome, haunted history tour of this much beloved place. Brinscall as you have never seen it before! Most definitely only suitable for teens and adults brave enough to wander the dark woods at night and learn of beheadings, murders and horrendous accidents. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult – one that doesn’t spook too easily is even better!

You will meet our guides to begin the route at 7pm outside the stone entrance to Brinscall Playground. Our guides will first tell you of the historic terrifying events at the nearby quarry before leading you into the dark woods…..

Here you will listen to tales of witches, murders, and local mysterious myths and legends. Beware of the uneven ground as you immerse yourself in local legends and the black of night. Step lightly as you near Brinscall hall and the old farm ruins – the spirits are most certainly listening.

After an atmospheric, eerie woodland wander, you will gather around the campfire back on site for devilishly delicious drinks, cake and s’mores. Here you can listen to one another’s paranormal experiences and tales, or feel free to ask for further stories from our guides.

Come set your imagination running wild, with just enough horror to still let you sleep at night!
