Winter wellbeing
❄️This is a winter themed session to give you time outdoors just for you at a time of year when you may need it the most.
No previous experience necessary and the group is open to all, men & women and young adults (if accompanied by adults) are welcome.
Nature connection has been shown to have a strong link to levels of mental well being and this course will give you techniques and activities you can do at home to help you de-stress and feel more relaxed and at one with your environment. The group will be relaxed, informal and you can join in the activities and discussions as much or as little as you would like.
There will be a campfire, hot drinks and winter treats. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements.
During the session there will be time to focus on wellbeing in nature techniques. The session may involve a mindful wander, focus on mindfulness with craft, or ID activities that increase your sense of connectedness with nature.
This session is Saturday 5th December, 10-11:30am.
The session will be delivered by Forest school practitioners who have trained as Naturewell Nature & Health facilitators. They will guide you through a grounding practice to get you to be in the moment and notice your surroundings – and then move on to a walk, craft or wellbeing activity that will increase your sense of connection to nature.
There is parking onsite and a composting toilet. Please come dressed for the weather in outdoor footwear you are comfortable to walk in. Warm layers and a waterproof coat is advisable.
You will receive an email a few days before with additional information and directions. If you do not receive this, please get in touch.
