This is our Thursday morning Home Education group running for a 6 week block this time. Please note – this is not a drop off group and children must be accompanied by an adult. Please always book on if you intend to come along as we need to be sure our staff ratios and resources match the numbers in the session.

This block starts on 10th September and runs until the 15th October.

The group runs from 10 to 12 noon and features a range of Forest School fun activities with different themes every week (usually linked to seasonal change and life on our site). Sessions will also take account of children’s interests and needs, and can include some games and crafts, tool work, fire lighting, den building and cooking, depending on their age. We also like to spend some sessions exploring local woodland and moorland and may go on off site walks depending on the weather. If you sign up for the block and give us a contact number, we can let you know in advance about any off site sessions. All sessions will begin and end with a gather around the fire circle. Forest school is designed to be child-led so all the activities are optional and there are always lots of ‘free-play’ areas to explore such as the mud kitchen, boat, bikes and the digging area.

Half way through each session snack will be provided for children (fruit & cake with water or squash) as well as teas or coffees and cake for the grown ups. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements and we can arrange alternatives.

Block termly bookings are at a reduced rate of £9 per session, but we also offer £10 pay-as-you-go spaces if available. Additional children are half price.

You are also welcome to bring cash on the day but please let us know in advance so we can make sure we have enough cake and that we don’t exceed our maximum number of adults on site.
