Scandinavian inspired bowl carving workshop
Learn the techniques of carving a bowl using hand tools only.
Enjoy the pleasure of crafting your own bowl out of green wood. Some experience with green woodworking is helpful but not essential. On the course you can expect to work hard during the allotted time. Get the opportunity to use carving axes, gouges, adze, whittling knives and scorps to carve a bowl and meet other like minded individuals.
The course is taught by local wood-carver, Paul Holland, who has been running spoon club at Wildwood Days over the past two years.
You can be experienced in green woodwork and want to learn or refine your carving technique or be completely new to the craft. Come and join people with the same interests and learn skills for life surrounded by wildlife.
This workshop runs from 9 to 5pm with a short break for tea & cake mid morning and a break for lunch (which you will need to bring with you). All tools and materials provided. £95pp, for ages 15 and over. Only 6 spaces available.
