Wellbeing in Nature group
This is a session to give you time outdoors just for you. No previous experience necessary and the group is open to all, men & women and older teenagers (if accompanied by adults) are welcome.
The group will be relaxed, informal and you can join in the activities and discussions as much or as little as you would like.
During the session there will be time to focus on wellbeing in nature techniques.
The session may involve a mindful wander, focus on mindfulness with craft, or ID activities that increase your sense of connectedness with nature.
The sessions have been monthly, on Saturday mornings (10 – 12), but you are more than welcome to come to this one as a one off and prior attendance is not needed.
Nature connection has been shown to have a strong link to levels of mental well being and this course will give you techniques and activities you can do at home to help you de-stress and feel more relaxed and at one with your environment.
The 2 hour sessions will be delivered by Cat and Karrie, both experienced forest school practitioners who have trained as Naturewell Nature & Health facilitators. They will guide you through a grounding practice to get you to be in the moment and notice your surroundings – and then move on to a walk, craft or wellbeing activity that will increase your sense of connection to nature. There will be some time for discussion with a brew and a slice of cake and then an idea for a take home exercise. As well as moving in nature, there is plenty of time sat round the fire drinking tea and eating cake!
Thank you 🙂
