Woodwork course

This is a series of workshops for up to 5 people to improve their wood-working skills in our workshop. This course is for beginners and improvers – you can just attend one afternoon or book a set. All tools, materials and safety equipment are provided. The course is led by local craftsman Shaun Roberts, who is also running sessions at the Super Slow Way in Blackburn.

The wood-turning workshops will run fortnightly on Sunday afternoons from 1:30 to 4pm on the 15th and 29th September, 13th October, 10th & 24th November and 8th December. Please note, there is no session on the 21st October because of the half term holidays.

You can either book a block of 6 sessions for £240 (£40 per session) or pay-as-you go sessions for £50. Another option is to book a block of 3 for £135 (£45 per session). Please let us know which dates you are planning to attend so we can make sure we don’t exceed our maximum numbers.

The workshop is aimed at adults but older teenagers (14 upwards) are welcome to attend if accompanied by an adult (16 years old and above do not need to be accompanied).

The workshops are relaxed and informal, Shaun has a lot of experience and can adapt projects to suit you – from making a stool to crafting a dovetail jointed box. Many projects will take more than one session to complete. The course works best if you can attend all the sessions so you can progress and develop your skills.

We will stop for a break about half way through to have a brew and a slice of cake.

NB – if you do book a one-off session we will assume it is for the date approaching. Please message us if you are booking for a different date.
