Green woodwork course (shave horse & draw knife)
This is a relaxed, informal workshop for up to 5 people to have a go at using a shave horse and draw knife in our outdoor workshop. No experience is necessary and all tools, materials and safety equipment are provided. The course is led by Emmie Devlin, a trained Forest School leader who has been perfecting her green woodwork skills. .
The workshops will run every Thursday morning from 10am to 12 noon on the 10th, 17th and 24th November.
You can either book the remaining 2 weeks for £30 or book onto a one-off session for £25. If you book the block you will be able to develop your skills and build up to creating more complex items. We will be creating simple beginner shave horse projects such as a spatula, dibber, butter knife, tent pegs or a rustic stool. If you already have some experience Emmie will discuss with you would you would like to make.
We will stop for a break about half way through to have a brew and a slice of cake.
NB – if you do book a one-off session we will assume it is for the coming week. Please message us if you are booking for a different date.
You should receive an information email a couple of days before the event with directions etc. Please get in touch if you don’t receive it. Thank you 🙂
