SOLD OUT – May 23rd ‘stay & play’ slot 1 – Wellbeing in the Woods
SOLD OUT – Sorry for any disappointment.
Wellbeing in the Woods is our community lottery funded project to help people improve their mental health using mindfulness activities in the outdoors. All the workshops are free to attend for people living in PR6 but you will need to pay a deposit (returned to you on the day) to secure your place. Please be mindful that we would like as many people as possible to benefit from this funding so you will only be allowed to book a maximum of 2 ‘stay & play’ slots and 2 workshops.
In addition to the bookable workshops we are also offering the opportunity to come and relax and play at our site. Refreshments will be provided (hot drinks for the adults, water or squash for children, plus a slice of homemade cake) and all our usual play provision will be there (mud kitchen, rope swing, willow teepee, tunnel, etc.). A range of mindfulness drop-in activities will also be on offer. These will vary each Sunday but could include natural art mandalas, clay modelling, whittling sticks, fire -lighting using a fire steel, sawing and decorating a log slice, hapa zome, etc.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions we are only able to allow 15 people (under 5s are not counted) on site at a time. Consequently we are offering 1 and a half hour slots. This is the 11 to 12:30 slot. You do not have to stay for the whole slot – it is supposed to be a relaxed session and all the activities are optional and can be done at your own pace You will be temperature checked and asked to hand-sanitise on arrival. Please leave promptly to give us time to sanitise any kit used between groups.
Your deposit will be returned to you on the day, unless you chose to donate it to this project. 100% of any proceeds will go towards supporting future community events that are free to attend and accessible to all. Thank you 🙂
